The Trans-America Trail is an off-road route from eastern Tennessee to the Pacific Ocean in Oregon, with a total length of over 4700 miles. My riding partner John and I decided to split the trail into two parts. The eastern part is from Jellico, Tennessee to Trinidad, Colorado. The western part is from Trinidad, Colorado to Port Orford, Oregon. Our plan was to ride the eastern part in September of 2010, and the western part sometime in 2011. What was that about the best-laid plans?
Details about each day on the trail will follow, but here’s the photo gallery of the trip.
